“Ignite Your Light LLC” is a B2C and B2B spiritual brand that helps people use metaphysical principles to create an aligned life and business. But in an effort to diversify its offerings and resonate with more consumers, it lost all internal brand alignment.

To continue delivering its promise to its customers, Ignite your Light needed to create an internal brand strategy that would educate its team members on how to apply the brand through design, communication, and delivery. Wild Womn Haus was asked to help create a set of tools that would connect team members to the Ignite your Light brand DNA and help them better convey the brand throughout all brand touchpoints and digital and physical interactions.

Internal Brand Alignment Phase 1 – Auditing Ignite Your Light’s Brand

Before we can develop a brand strategy approach to solve our identified brand problems, we use a thorough brand audit to set a baseline for our project as a whole. During this phase of our process, we perform a “checkup” that measures your brand’s position in the marketplace as well as other strengths and weaknesses. 

A typical brand audit will focus on the internal communication that contributes to a brand’s values, mission, and company culture. But at Wild Womn Haus, we take things a step further.

Internal Brand Alignment Phase 2 – Competitive Intelligence

After completing our audit of Ignite Your Light’s brand, we kicked things off by doing a deep dive into the global spirituality landscape, looking for potential opportunities to differentiate based on design aspects and brand identity.

Our analysis revealed a unique creative direction that would assist Ignite Your Light in creating an appeal that would deeply resonate with its unique target audience. Whereas most spiritual brands take on an “airy, ethereal” aesthetic, we went in the opposite direction combining a mysterious and moody visual identity. Our creative direction insight then became a driving force in our approach to the internal brand strategy.

Internal Brand Alignment Phase 3 – Company Brand Strategy

Equipped with a unique creative direction, Wild Womn Haus’s next step was to work with the CEO, Ashley Rose, to define Ignite Your Light’s core stories and service principles. We created one streamlined brand story that could be retold by all team members. 

We also created 4 behavioral statements based on core brand values that we called the Ignite Your Light driving principles. These tenets communicated how brand designers, copywriters, content creators, and operations specialists would deliver a brand experience that customers would resonate with.

Internal Brand Alignment Phase 4 – Brand Guidelines

With the brand experience principles finalized, we extended them into Ignite Your Light team brand guidelines and training tools. The materials helped the team to both embrace and embody the Ignite Your Light brand throughout all brand touchpoints.

Internal Brand Alignment Phase 5 – Integration & Implementation

Throughout the process of creating internal brand alignment, we knew change couldn’t be made without bringing the design team into the mix. This insight went into designing a brand identity playbook. In it, designers, web developers, graphic designers, and other members of the creative team are guided on how to deliver the core brand story and driving principles within their team, to deliver a powerful and cohesive customer experience.
